The Frog
In a bowl of green light
where lily plates hold the sky,
a frog sits—
quiet as a held breath.
He wears the pond
like a soft coat,
ripples stitched to his skin,
sun pooling on his back.
Around him,
lotus cups lift their pale faces,
whispering of rain
and the memory of clouds.
He does not hurry.
He knows the language of stillness -
How the world leans closer
when at peace
He is free, he is friend
And he speaks
